Within the village of Kislingbury there is a Church of England Church, two public houses, a post office/general stores, a family butchers, village hall, recreation ground and the Cromwell Cottage Restaurant. There is a primary school and secondary schooling at nearby Bugbrooke. Excellent independent schools are within a short drive and nearby marinas provide cruising and fishing on the Grand Union canal. M1 access is at junction 15 and 15a and there is a mainline rail service to London Euston from Northampton Castle Station.

For those seeking private education there are good boys’ and girls’ schools in the Northampton area, together with public schools at Oundle, Rugby and Stowe. Northampton also has a sixth form college and a university
A choice of doctors, dentists and opticians is available in some of the neighbouring villages and Northampton, which also has a general hospital with A&E department.
For the sports inclined there is an abundance of quality resources on the doorstep including: Gyms and sports centres, swimming pools, golf courses, amateur and professional rugby, cricket and football.
There is excellent fishing locally in the river Nene, Grand Union Canal, lakes and reservoirs. Water sports facilities, including sailing are available at Pittsford Reservoir, Draycote Water, Milton Keynes and Rutland Water.
Nearby Towcester has a national hunt race course and within an hour by car there are also race courses at Warwick, Leicester, Uttoxeter and Huntingdon. Point to point racing also features prominently in and around Northamptonshire.
