Claybrooke Magna is the larger of the two Claybrooke villages with a population of around 400 people. It is set in rural countryside close to the A5.
The villages of Claybrooke Magna and Claybrooke Parva are only a mile from High Cross, known as the centre of Roman England, as it was the point where the Roman Watling street crossed the Fosse Road, two principle Roman roads. Little sign is evident nowadays other than the remains of a monument, built to mark the spot in the 17th Century which was later destroyed by lightning.
Major Road Links
The village is located between junctions 20 and 21 of the M1, and also has easy access to the towns of Leicester, Rugby, Lutterworth and Market Harborough
The nearest health services are located in the nearby town of Lutterworth, approximately 5 miles away, and include;

- Dentist’s offices and pharmacies throughout the town

Claybrooke Magna has the village pub located in it called The Pig in Muck whilst Claybrooke Parva has the village hall, church and school.
A Mobile Library also regularly visits the village.
Culture and Events
Both the Claybrooke villages regularly hold fund raising events for the village facilities.
The Kilworth House Theatre, only a few miles outside the village, stages productions at their open air theatre and other performing arts groups regularly produce shows at the venue of Lutterworth College.
Clubs and Leisure
Claybrooke Parva has a Scouts club and a friendly Garden club as there are many allotments located through the village.
More clubs are available in many of the nearby towns and villages.
Although Claybrooke Parva itself doesn’t have any sporting clubs many of the surrounding local villages have football, cricket, and horse riding clubs. Several clubs are located at the Lutterworth Leisure Centre, and further afield at the Harborough Leisure Centre in Market Harborough. Other clubs include the Lutterworth Soccer Centre, Lutterworth Rugby, Lutterworth Golf Club, Kilworth Springs Golf Club, Ullesthorpe Golf Club and the Lutterworth Cricket Club all a short distance away.
