Ullesthorpe is a village in south Leicestershire just 4 miles from Lutterworth, it has a population of just fewer than one thousand people. There are now only three farms left but several shops and small businesses thrive.
Its name comes from the Scandinavian personal name Úlfr. The remains of the previous medieval site are still visible on the edge of the village. The village previously had a railway station which was closed in 1962. The village is mentioned in The Holy Thief, book 19 of the Cadfael series of novels.

The village is close to the A5, Jct 20 at Lutterworth for the M1. The M6 and M69 are also easily accessible from the village.
